DTF PRINTING.

Decoration methods / Production guide

01 / The method

Printed on film. Applied to fabric.

Starting minimum

12 units per design

Additional production requirements are confirmed during quoting.

DTF starts with artwork printed onto a special film. Adhesive is applied, the transfer is prepared, and heat and pressure bond the graphic to a compatible garment. It supports complex color within one graphic and can work across a range of suitable textile materials.

How to get started

Describe the design, garment fabric and quantity. We'll check transfer size, placement, feel and suitability before recommending DTF.

Good to know.

What does DTF mean?

DTF stands for direct-to-film. The graphic is printed on film, then transferred to the garment using heat and pressure.

How many units can I order?

Our published starting minimum is 12 units per design. The final production requirement is confirmed when we review the request.

How is DTF different from DTG?

DTF applies a prepared transfer to the garment, while DTG prints inks directly onto the fabric. The ideal choice depends on material, feel, artwork and quantity.
